he opened his first freestanding kiosk in an aisle of Miami's 
Dadeland mall ,called it the Sunglass Hut and sold his fashionable frames at price point $20 and more.He opened more kiosks and later, actual stores. 
1994 And 1998
In the year 1993, Sunglass Hut become a public company. Sunglass Hut continued to open new store unite rapidly in 1995, everywhere from airport terminal to outlet center and leased spaces in department stores,in addition to its traditional stores in mall and on city streets.
In 1998, Sunglass Hut entered the wold of e commerce , giving customers the ability to buy sunglasses on its US website , Sunglasshut.com
 IN 2000
The Luxottica group acquired Sunglass Hut in 2000. The group became the worldwide indisputable authority on fashion Sunglasses ,in an ever-changing marketplace. With more than 3000 store worldwide ,we offer customers the most desirable brand, making them Look and Feel Good!

LUXOTTICA GROUP ORIGINATED IN 1961.WHEN SIR "LEONARDO DEL VECCHIO"SET UP LUXOTTICA DI DEL VECCHIO EC.S.A.S, WHICH SUBSEQUENTLY BECAME A JOINT -STOCK COMPANY UNDER THE NAME OF LUXOTTICA S.P.A. HAVING STARTED OUT AS A SMALL WORKSHOP ,THE COMPANY OPERATED TILL THE END OF THE DAY "60S AS A CONTRACT PRODUCER OF DIES,FERRO-TANGLI,METALCOMPONENTS AND SEMI-FINISHED GOODS FOR THE OPTICAL INDUSTRY.

LEONARDO DEL GRADUALLY WIDENED THE RANG OF PROCESSES UNTILL HE HAD AN INTEGRATED MANUFACTURING STRUCTURE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A FINISHED PAIR OF GLASS. 1969 SAW THE CRUCIAL TURNING POINT , THE LAUNCH OF THE FIRST FRAME UNDER THE LUXOTTICA BRAND:THE CONTRACT PRODUCER BECAME AN INDEPENDENT MANUFACTURE SHORTLY AFTERWARDS ,THE PRESENTATION OF THE FIRST COLLECTION AR MILAN'S MIDO(AN INTERNATIONAL OPTICS TRADE FAIR), MADE THE BRAND A DEFINITIVE.
